Margaret Matejicka-Kent, 89, of Whitehall, died Jan. 15, 2019, at Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth. She was the wife of the late Emil J. Matejicka and the late David Kent.

Born in Whitehall, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Los) Sirko.

She was a sewing machine operator for 42 years until she retired.

She was a pierogi maker for many years at the St. Nicholas Ukrainian Club, Northampton. She was a life member of the Coplay Saengerbund and a member of several area senior groups.

She is survived by a daughter, Donna and her husband Robert Coleman of Northampton; four granddaughters, Christine, Michelle, Lindsey and Jennifer; and two great-grandsons, Quinn and Rory.

She was predeceased by a son, Jerry Matejicka; three brothers; and five sisters.
