Madeline J. Sobchak Kurtz, 102, of Fullerton, died Jan. 20, 2019, at Whitehall Manor. She was the wife of the late Peter P. Sobchak and the late Peter K. Kurtz.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Horvath) Aget.
She was a telephone operator at the former Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown, for more than 25 years until she retired in 1979.
She was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church and the Golden Agers.
She was a member of the Club 55 and the Friday Senior Citizens.
She is survived by a son, Michael and his wife Beverly; a daughter-in-law, Barbara A. Sobchak; two grandchildren, Peter J. Jr. and his wife Linda Sobchak and Pamela Ann and her husband Eric Kragness; five great-grandchildren, Peter J. Sobchak III, Jacob C. Sobchak and his fiancee Alyssa Fahringer, Rebecca L. Sobchak and Haley E. and Dane E. Kragness; nieces; nephews; and extended family.
She was predeceased by a son, Peter J. Sobchak; a grandson, Jeffrey G. Sobchak; and four sisters, adults Elizabeth Gallagher and Frances Tichy and two infants.
There will be a visitation 9 a.m. in the church foyer, followed by a Mass of Christian burial 10 a.m., Jan. 26 at St. Elizabeth’s, 618 Fullerton Ave., Whitehall.
Contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
