Lori J. Molchany
Lori J. Molchany died Jan. 17, 2019, after a battle against a glioblastoma multiforme brain tumor. She was the wife of Rick Molchany for 39 years.
She was a daughter of Terry and Madeline (Haney) Leibenguth of Whitehall.
She was a registered nurse for 37 years and was honored by Lehigh Valley Health Network with a Friends of Nursing award. She was also a medical claim reviewer for Guardian Life Insurance.
She was a member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, Berlinsville, where she was a Eucharistic minister.
She was a team mother to many Whitehall High School athletes and club participants over the years. She volunteered and supported many local nonprofits.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by a daughter, Ashley Elizabeth and her husband Carl Joseph Hobel; a granddaughter, Wilhelmina Ryan; two grandsons, Jude Wilder and Remington Grey; two sisters, Lisa and her husband Jackson Stengel and Tracy and her husband Joseph Schmidt; a father and mother-in-law, Richard and Helen (Nemeth) Molchany; two sisters-in-law, Kathy and her husband Jack Minnich and Lori and her husband William Cassium; three nieces, Karlie, Megan and Courtney; and three nephews, Kyle, Mathew and Jake.
She was predeceased by a son, Ryan Richard Molchany.
There will be a calling time beginning 9:30 a.m., followed by services 11 a.m., both Jan. 24 at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 4456 Main St., Whitehall.
