Linda Jo Hallas, 68, of Lower Towamensing Township, died Jan. 17, 2019, in her home. She was the wife of Gary M. Hallas for 37 years.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Charles H. and Shirley L. (Evans) Mantz.
She was a 1968 graduate of the former Slatington High School and a graduate of Kutztown University for her teaching credentials.
She was employed by the Palmerton Area School District as an elementary teacher for over 30 years.
She was a member of the former Blue Ridge Country Club, Palmerton.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a sister, Candyce Merkle of Slatington; a niece, Sara, wife of Jamie Abraham of Slatedale; and two nephews, Jacob Mankos and Michael Mantz.
She was predeceased by a brother, Richard C. Mantz.
