Leon C. Kuhns, 90, of South Scranton and formerly of Whitehall, died Jan. 16, 2019, at the Scranton Healthcare Center. He was the husband of Fern M. Kuntz for 64 years.

Born in Whitehall, he was a son of the late Clarence and Cora Hunsicker Kuhns.

He was a 1946 graduate of Whitehall High School.

He was in the U.S. Army and was stationed overseas in France during the Korean conflict.

He worked for more than 30 years at Western Electric, Allentown, until he retired.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Brian Kuhns of Scranton; two sisters, Lorraine Schneck of Schnecksville and Elaine Frantz of Whitehall; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Beatrice Gogel.

Services are private.
