A team of Misericordia University student researchers in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program recently presented their scholarly work, “The Effects of Stabilization Exercise on Low Back Pain and Pelvic Girdle Pain in Pregnant Women: A Systematic Review,’’ at local, state and international conferences.
Graduate students Julie Bogaert of Bangor; Julia Marceca of Kinnelon, N.J.; Samantha Partington of Fogelsville, and Meghan Stack of Douglassville, collaborated with faculty advisor Amy Tremback-Ball, Ph.D., P.T., associate professor.
The student researchers presented their findings at the 12th International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine World Congress in Paris, France, the Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association MovePA Conference in King of Prussia, and at Misericordia University’s fifth annual Student Research Symposium: Current Research in Physical Therapy on campus.
