Thomas D. Jaindl Sr. of Kissimmee, Fla., died Nov. 30, 2018, at his residence at Kissimmee Village. He was the husband of the late Shirley (DeWalt) Jaindl.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Herman and Evelyn (Battley) Jaindl.
He was, while in the U.S. Army, a mechanic at the Nevada Proving Grounds and witnessed two atomic bomb tests. He was in the Korean War where he earned two Bronze Stars and the Combat Infantry Badge.
He was a parts expediter for Branch Motors for 26 years before retiring. He was then a custodian with the Allentown School District for 14 years.
He is survived by two sons, Mark Styron and Thomas Jaindl Jr.; a daughter, Monica and her husband Randy Martrich; a brother, James and his wife Clara Jaindl; and 12 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Vanessa Jaindl; and a brother, Herman.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
