Thomas D. Jaindl Sr.

Thomas D. Jaindl, Sr. of Kissimmee, Fla., died Nov. 30, 2018 at his home in Kissimmee Village.

He was the husband of the late Shirley (DeWalt) Jaindl.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Herman and Evelyn (Battley) Jaindl.

He was a parts expediter for Branch Motors for 26 years before retiring.

After that, he was a custodian for 14 years with the Allentown School District.

He served in the Army during the Korean War where he earned two Bronze Stars and the Combat Infantry Badge.

While in the service, he was a mechanic at the Nevada Proving Grounds and witnessed two atomic bomb tests.

Survivors include sons Mark Styron and Thomas Jaindl Jr.; daughter Monica Martrich, wife of Randy; brother James Jaindl and his wife, Clara; and 12 grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his daughter Vanessa Jaindl and brother Herman.

Private services will be at the convenience of the family.
