Russell W. Hallman, 60, of Slatington, died Dec. 23, 2018 in his home.
Born Aug. 4, 1958, in Palmerton, Carbon County, he was the son of the late Forrest J. and Louise I. (Hankee) Hallman.
A 1976 graduate of Slatington High School, he owned and operated Hallman’s Service Station, Slatington, since 1976.
Active in the life of his community, he was currently serving on Slatington Borough Council, president of the Northern Lehigh Events Committee, and a former volunteer firefighter with Vigilant Fire Company.
He was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ, Slatington.
His survivors include children Russell J. of Slatington, Rebecca H.L. of Pittsburgh; companion, Gwyneth A. Jones with whom he resided and her daughter Lacey E. Keller of Reading; sisters Linda M. Nierer (Alex) of Slatington, Connie A. Rehrig (Clifford) of Slatedale; several nieces and nephews.
