Katherine L. Carl, 65, of Tamaqua, formerly of Lehighton, died Dec. 22, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Born April 28, 1953, in Washington Township, she was the daughter of the late Melvin C. and Annie Mae (Hunsicker) Christman.

She was employed at Techna-Plastic Inc., Lehighton for the past eight years.

Before that, she worked at the former Paris Accessories, Walnutport, for many years.

She was a member of Zion Church, Lewistown Valley, Tamaqua.

Her survivors include children Barbara C. Dean of Boyertown, Robert H. Christman of Lehighton, Clara A. Schaeffer of Lehighton; sisters Linda L. Leiby (Scott) of Tamaqua, Ruby G. Craig of Weissport, Maryann E. Heffelfinger of Albrightsville; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister Gloria R. Christman.

There will be a memorial service 2 p.m. on Jan. 5 at Zion Church, Lewistown Valley, 489 Valley Road, Tamaqua.

Private interment will take place at Heidelberg Union Cemetery, Heidelberg Township.
