Robert C. Nester, 55, of Allentown, was stricken Dec. 6, 2018, while hunting with his friends in Montrose.

He and his wife Lynn A. (Jones) Nester celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary in July

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Raymond H. and Ethel R. (Bauman) Nester.

He received a Bachelor of Science degree in metallurgy from The Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Engineering degree in material science engineering from Lehigh University.

A metallurgical service engineer, he was employed by ArcelorMittal of Steelton, Dauphin County.

He enjoyed coaching his son’s baseball, basketball and football teams with the South Parkland Youth Association.

A member of the Penn State Alumni Association, he was an avid supporter of Penn State Athletics and he enjoyed hunting and golfing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Ryan C. of Camp Hill; brother Richard L. and his wife, Pamela, of Follansbee, W.Va.; and mother-in-law Joan Jones.
