Russell W. Schirmacher, 83, of Whitehall, died Dec. 10, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown. He was the husband of Joyce C. (Harring) Schirmacher for 61 years.

Born in Hokendauqua, he was a son of the late Paul and Helen (Berger) Schirmacher.

He was a crane operator for the former Bethlehem Steel for many years before retiring.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Gloria and her husband Jim Hudak of Whitehall; two sons, Matthew and his wife Lisa of Orefield and Mark and his wife Colleen of Whitehall; a brother, Roy and his wife Sheila of Catasauqua; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, Paul; two brothers; and two sisters.

Services will be private.
