Nancy A. Hersh, 87, formerly of Wescosville, died Dec. 6, 2018, in the Phoebe Home, Allentown. Born in Dallas, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Franklin C. and Emma R. (Kramlich) Hersh.

She was a 1949 graduate of Allentown High School and received a bachelor of science degree from Drexel University in 1953. She was a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority.

After raising her children, she rejoined the work force at Ohio Casualty for 10 years, retiring in 1997. Previously she was employed at the former Holiday Inn, South Whitehall Township. After retirement, she was employed at the former Early American Candle Shop, Wescosville.

A talented artist, she was one of the early members of SOTA.

She volunteered for many years in the gift and baby shop at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

As a teenager, she had horses that she loved and enjoyed riding.

She is survived by sons, Joseph J. Jr., of Allentown, Frederick C. and his wife Elaine, of Emmaus, Matthew C., of Allentown; daughter, Deborah L. and her husband Larry Ferrara, of Philadelphia; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held 1:30 p.m. Dec. 13 in Highland Memorial Park, Allentown. There are no calling hours.
