Richard Joseph “Rick” Witt, 53, of Germansville, died on Dec. 6, 2018, in Breinigsville.

Born May 29, 1965, in Fountain Hill, he was the son of Donald G. and Joan (Weber) Witt of Germansville.

He was an electrician at G.C. Electric Co., Allentown, since 1985.

A 1984 graduate of Northwestern Lehigh High School, he was an active firefighter, for more than 25 years, currently serving as assistant chief and past president of Goodwill Fire Co. No. 1, Germansville.

He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting.

He will be forever remembered as a kindhearted soul who enjoyed helping others with selfless acts of kindness.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter Amanda L. Dietrich and her husband, Adam, of Kempton; brother Rodney J. Witt and his life-partner David Fegley of Germansville; and nephews Colby and Chad.
