Kyle Sorensen, a 2011Northwestern Lehigh High School graduate completed the physical therapy doctoral program at DeSales University, Center Valley.

Sorensen received the academic excellence award for having achieved the highest grade-point average in the class.

He also received the research excellence award during the recent recognition and awards ceremony.

Sorensen is the son of LeRoy and Louise Sorensen of New Tripoli.

He is employed by Good Shepherd outpatient rehabilitation in Kutztown.
