Michael T. Williams

Michael T. Williams, 64, of Catasauqua, died Nov. 22, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the husband of Susan (Jandres) Williams for 28 years.

Born in Pottsville, he was a son of Claire (Tobias) and the late Edward Williams of Pine Grove.

He was a scholar athlete at and a 1972 graduate of Pine Grove High School. He was a 1976 graduate of Bloomsburg University, where he was a vice president and a mentor for new candidate pledges of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He earned a master’s degree in education from East Stroudsburg University.

He was a science teacher for the Wilson Borough School District, where he taught in the middle school for 35 years and was the head of the science club. He coached football for Wilson Area High School. He was awarded with Who’s Who Among Outstanding Teachers for many years in a row.

He worked for the pit crew for NASCAR at Pocono Speedway.

He was a member of Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Catasauqua.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Brittany; and a son, Nicholas.
