LaRue E. (Oswald) Anglestein, 84, of Whitehall, died Dec. 1, 2018, in her home. She was the wife of Ralston Anglestein for 65 years.
Born in Ironton, she was a daughter of the late Victor and Hilda (Gantz) Oswald.
She was a seamstress at the former Fuller Sportswear and for Jill Togs for more than 40 years.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Catasauqua, where she was a member of the Altar Guild.
She volunteered at the Catasauqua Community Thrift Shop.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Deborah and her husband John Frey; a son, Michael and his wife Barbara; four grandchildren, Emily and her husband Jayson Snyder, Aaron Frey, Christopher Anglestein and Stephanie and her husband Thomas Gardiner; two great-granddaughters, Lilian and Julia; and a sister, Dorothea Walck.
She was predeceased by a sister, Lorene Cleaver; and three brothers, Alton, Ernest and Gerald Oswald.
