Janice M. George, 81, of Allentown, died peacefully Dec. 3, 2018, in her home with her family members by her side.

She and her husband Dale A. George were married 58 years.

Born May 5, 1937, in Buffalo, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Merle and Ethel (Wagner) Porter.

A registered nurse, she worked at Abington Hospital for several years before having a family.

She volunteered at the Tree Top Gift Shop, Lehigh Valley Hospital for 35 years.

Additionally, she worked in the family business, Kleckner and Sons, Whitehall and Emmaus.

She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, South Whitehall.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons Todd A. George (Christine) of Schnecksville, Jeffrey S. George Esq. (Jennifer) of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Daniel J. George of Breinigsville; and nine grandchildren.
