Fern I. (Schaffer) Hawk, 88, formerly of Whitehall, died Nov. 29, 2018, in At Home at Parkland, Schnecksville. She was the wife of the late Edward D. Hawk Sr. for 56 years.

Born in Cementon, she was a daughter of the late Samuel H. and Eva M. (Klinesmith) Schaffer.

She was an Avon representative for more than 25 years.

She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Northampton, where she was, for many years, a member of the ladies auxiliary and was a pie-baking volunteer.

She is survived by a son, Edward D. Jr. and his wife Cathy of Slatington; a daughter, Kathy M. and her husband Harry J. Keefer of Whitehall; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by eight siblings.
