Lehigh County and VALOR will be collecting clothing and critical necessities through Jan. 11, 2019, for homeless veterans. Drop-off locations are located in the Lehigh County Government Center, 17 S. Seventh St., and in the County Courthouse lobby, 455 Hamilton St., both Allentown, 18101.

The Lehigh County Veterans Affairs Office have partnered with Valor to distribute the donated new items to local homeless veterans.

Donations needed of new men’s and women’s hats, beanies, mittens, gloves, scarfs, sweatshirts,

toiletries, bath soap, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, shave cream, mouthwash, q-tips, hand cream, combs, brushes, toothpaste, toothbrushes, wipes, tissues, feminine hygiene products, emery boards, disposable razors, hand sanitizer, dental floss, lip balm, hair brushes, band aids, wash cloths, bath towels, etc., instant coffee and hot chocolate packets, gift cards from Giant, Weiss, Walmart and one day bus passes.
