Kenneth David Schneck, 91 years, 2 months, 26 days, formerly of Mechanicsville Road, Whitehall, died peacefully Nov. 29, 2018, in his residence at Whitehall Manor.

Born Sept. 3, 1927, in Whitehall, he was the son of the late Walter and Edna (Guth) Schneck.

He was married for 64 years to Helen T. Schneck who passed away in 2016.

His survivors include a son Keith and fiancee Linda Chisholm of Ambler and daughter Carol Seagreaves of Northampton; grandchildren Stephanie Schneck Speece and husband Kyle Speece, Brian and Christopher Schneck; great-grandchildren Connor, Logan and Blake Speece; and brothers Roger of Schnecksville and Robert of Kansas City, Mo.

A 1945 graduate of Whitehall High School, he served in the U.S. Army Band in 1945 and 1946 and worked for Verizon, formerly Bell Telephone Co. of Pennsylvania, for more than 30 years.

He was a member of St. John’s UCC, Fullerton.

His life was full of activity and he loved music and was an accomplished saxophone and clarinet player in various local bands for many years.

He loved to travel, garden, and build or repair most anything.
