Connie L. Fritch, 72, of Mertztown, died Nov. 24, 2018.

The loving wife of Craig Roper, they celebrated 31 years of marriage in August.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Harriet (Baker) Nuver.

A graduate of Emmaus High School, she was employed at Landis Store Hotel and later worked in the care of children.

She dedicated her life to the care and rescue of animals.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters Jennifer Freeby and Sara Vaccaro, both of Mertztown; brother Bruce Nuver of Macungie; sisters Laura Davis of Nazareth, Suzanne Frazier of Macungie, Nancy Nolf of Coplay, and Rosemary Ondrejca of Allentown.

Her service will be private.

She was passionate about the welfare of animals and any living creature that was suffering.
