Thomas A. Hails, 83, from Breinigsville, died Oct. 25, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He was the widower of Mary E. (McKee) Hails.

Born in Missouri, he was a son of the late Frank and Frances (Murphy) Hails.

He had a food brokerage and procurement business for most of his life and was known all around North America.

President of Thomas A. Hails Co., Inc., he loved training horses and enjoyed going to the casino and playing poker.

He was a member of Jordan-Martin Lodge 673 F.&A.M., Allentown.

He honorably served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

His survivors include a daughter Elizabeth Miller of New Tripoli; brother Richard Hails and wife, Linda, of Kansas City, Mo.; sisters Anne Norman of Chilhowee, Mo., and Mary Lou James of Buffalo, Mo.; and nieces and nephews.
