Irene Vomero, 80, of Whitehall, died Oct. 28, 2018. She was the wife of the late Angelo Vomero.

Born in Duryea, she was a daughter of the late Lemoine and Hermina (Leshney) Patterson.

She was an assembly worker for the former Western Electric/Lucent for many years before taking retirement.

She was a member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church, North Catasauqua, where she volunteered and pinched pierogies.

She is survived by two sons, Jim and his wife Monique and Ron; and eight grandchildren, James, Heather, Alexa, Alex, Rachel, Megan, Kenneth and Gretchen.

She was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Andrea; and a sister, Joan.
