Howard “Gummo” “Big Al” Grant Rosell, 87, of Slatington, died Oct. 26, 2018, at ManorCare, Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Mary (Speck) Rosell.

Born in Tuckerton, N.J., he was a son of the late Harry Curlis and Greta (Grant) Rosell.

He was a Tuckerton High School graduate.

He was in the U.S. Navy and in the New Jersey National Guard.

He worked for Sun Oil, Chester. He retired from Congoleum Corporation, Hamilton Township, N.J., in 1993.

He is survived by a sister, Lola Allen; two daughters, Joan and her husband Harry Cheesbrough and Sandy and her husband David Carroll; a daughter-in-law, Rowena Austin; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

He was predeceased by four brothers, Wilmer “Red,” Thomas, Albert “Spike” and Ronald; a son, John Austin; and a grandson, Tom Carroll.
