Thaddeus G. Durback, 81, of Macungie, died Oct. 17, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospice. He was the husband of Kathleen C. (Swank) Durback. They were married for 55 years. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Elizabeth (Labanz) and John Durback Sr.
He honorably served his country in the Navy from 1955 to 1959 and played in the U.S. Navy band.
He worked in sales for A. P. Wagner Appliance Parts, retiring in 2002.
He played the trumpet and sang with the Joe Timmer Orchestra for 30 years.
He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Emmaus and ushered for many years at the 10:30 a.m. Mass.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Kelly Ann and her husband Grant Doescher, of The Woodlands, Texas and Vicki and her husband Michael Stengel, of Cetronia; twin sister, Theresa Miller, of Emmaus; sister-in-law, June, of Allentown; grandchildren, Tanner and McKenna Stengel and Trevor and Skylar Doescher. He was predeceased by siblings, John Jr., Lawrence, Irene Wagner and Elizabeth Marchak.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Oct. 27 in St. Ann Catholic Church, 415 S. Sixth St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held 10 to 11 a.m. in the church.
