The debate team held its first debate Oct. 16. This season, the students are debating whether or not the National Organ Transplant Act should continue to be used in the United States. This act gives people the right to donate their organs and prohibits the selling of organs.
Overall, the SHS debate team won six of their eight debates on Tuesday. Currently, the team is tied for second place.
Students interested in learning how to ski/snowboard or improve their current skills should sign up for the ski/snowboard club. During the winter, every Thursday night between Jan. 10 and Feb. 7, 2019, students will travel to Blue Mountain Ski Resort. Students will leave the high school at the end of the school day and return to the middle school around 9 p.m. All students who are interested should look for the email from Principal Ms. Morningstar. Students can sign up until Oct. 31.
Students interested in retaking their school photo can do so Nov. 1.
The end of the quarter is Oct. 31.
Finally, this past week the Salisbury community lost a member of the senior class, Duncan Yankovich. Duncan will be missed by his friends in theater, as well as the entire Salisbury community. From those at SHS, we want you to know you are important and our community would not be the same without you.
