Charles J. Kahler, 90, of Cabot, Ariz., died on Oct. 18, 2018.

He was the husband of the late Joan M. (McGinley) Kahler.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Charles and Rose (Lipovsky) Kahler.

A graduate of Central Catholic High School, Allentown, before retiring, he was a freight inspector for Associated Transport, Mushroom Trucking and St. Johnsbury trucking companies.

He honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1948-52.

A member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Orefield, he was also a former member of the Knights of Columbus.

His survivors include a son, Donald C. and his wife Gina, with whom he resided; daughter Kathleen Hirschmann and her husband, Joseph, of Aliquippa; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Gasper.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Oct. 26 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield, PA 18069. Visitation at the church 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass.

Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Allentown.
