Joseph S. Lakits, 93, of Northampton, died Oct. 16, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the husband of the late Ellen M. (Wagner) Lakits.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Andrew and Barbara (Went) Lakits.

He was a presser for the former Cross Country Clothes and Botany 500, Northampton, for 36 years until he retired in 1990.

He was a member of Queenship of Mary Catholic Church, Northampton.

He is survived by three daughters, Bernadette Stangl of Coplay, Carol and her husband Jeremy Henninger of Slatington and Beverly of Northampton; a son, Francis and his wife Carol Bilder of Whitehall; 12 grandchildren, Francis Jr., Michelle, Keith, Jon, Mark, Pammy, Lisa, Tommy, Joey, Ashley, Chelsea and Alyssa; great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Julia Peters and Elizabeth Lakits; and two brothers, John and Stephen.
