Joyce M. Ruch, 82, of Allentown, died Oct. 9, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hospice Inpatient Unit, Allentown. She was the wife of Donald E. Ruch, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage. Born in East Texas, she was a daughter of the late Luther R. and Louise A. E. (Peifley) Shade.

She was a supervisor for the former Day-Timer in East Texas for 20 years.

She was a graduate of Emmaus High Schol.

She was an active attendee of the South Whitehall Crime Watch, a member of the Eastern Star, Catasauqua Lodge and a member of the Cetronia Senior Citizens.

She was a member of Cedar Lutheran Church, Allentown.

She is survived by her husband; daughters, Deborah A. and her husband David Costello, of Slatington and Donna L. and her husband Richard Hammel, of North Catasauqua; sister, Nancy Gambler; grandchildren, Diana Galanti, Benjamin and Allison Hammel; great-grandson, Jase Galanti.
