Carol G. Hoppes, 82, of Fogelsville, died on Oct. 11, 2018 at her home.

She was the loving wife of Jackie H. Hoppes.

Born in Coney Island, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Luther and Esther (Schoffler) Zoch.

She was a nurse’s aide at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, South Whitehall, for 23 years before retiring.

An avid bingo player, she had a deep love for animals, especially her beloved bird Cody and many cats.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by children Kathy Brown and husband, David, of Mechanicsburg; Linda George and companion Keith Jones and Thomas Wetzel and companion Laura Moyer, all of Macungie; stepchildren Valerie Sosa and husband, Angel, and Jennifer Hoppes, all of Allentown; Shawn Hoppes and wife, Pamela, and Lonnie Hoppes, all of Macungie; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings Russell Zoch of Virginia, Ruth Swank and husband, Barry, of Slatington, Marion Klingman and husband Donald of Quakertown, Linda White of Slatington and Doris Dreher of California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
