Anthony “Tony” C. Sodl, 96, formerly of Coplay, died Oct. 8, 2018, at Whitehall Manor.
Born in Coplay, he was a son of the late Joseph and Agnes (Wunderler) Sodl.
He was in the U.S. Navy in World War II.
He was an electrician. He managed Jordan Lanes, Whitehall, from 1958 to 1967. He was, for several years, a representative for Brunswick Corporation in Ohio and Pennsylvania. He moved to Florida where he was the proprietor of the T&J Lounge until he took retirement.
He was a member and past president of the West Coplay Maennerchor and the Whitehall Chamber of Commerce.
He is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann and her husband James Bodnar; a son, Anthony and his wife Barb; six grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by seven brothers and one sister.
As per Tony’s request, there will be no services.
