Alberta Miller, 86, of Macungie, died Oct. 12, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. She was the wife of John W. “Jack” Miller Jr. They celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary in January. Born in Dyersburg, Tenn., she was a daughter of the late Hubertus and Genevieve (Zerolis) Heemskerk.

She was a graduate of St. John’s High School, Benton Harbor, Mich.

She was a member of St. Thomas More Church, Allentown.

She is survived by her husband; daughters; Mary F. Ferguson (Kirk), of Texas, Cathy R. Howe (Bill), of Georgia, Jennifer A. Bucha (Tony), of Center Valley, Carol L. Sager (Dave), of Michigan, Stephanie M. Taylor (John), of Allentown; sons: John D. (companion Joanne Novosat), of Allentown, Mark J. (Diane), of Allentown, Michael S. (Kim), of Schuylkill Haven,; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; sister, Genevieve Yaple, of Manistee, Mich.; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Frances Marsala.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Oct. 19 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown. A viewing will be held 7 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., 274 N. Krocks Road, Allentown and 10 to 10:30 a.m. Oct. 19 at the church prior to the Mass.
