Lamont Russell Grim

Lamont Russell Grim, 72, of Fogelsville, died Sept. 28, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He and his wife Sandra M. (Bond) Grim were married 46 years on Sept. 2.

Born Feb. 15, 1946, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Russell A. Grim and Elaine S. (Hartranft) Grim Schweitzer.

He was a specifications clerk at Mack Truck Headquarters, Allentown, for 44 years before retiring in 2010.

Before that, he was briefly employed at Allen Organ, Macungie, and Imperial Auto, Schnecksville.

A 1964 graduate of Parkland High School, he was one of the founders and past president of Mopar Madness of the Lehigh Valley in 1989.

An avid racing fan and enthusiast, he traveled the circuit and met many of the “greats.”

He was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Ziegels Union Church, Breinigsville.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a daughter Shelly L. Grim and her companion, Vernon N. Scovens, of Harrisburg; stepfather Luther F. Schweitzer of Palmerton; aunts LaRue and Doris; and beloved pets Dexter and Jasmine.
