Cheryl A. (Knauss) Fatzinger, 68, of Macungie, died Sept. 20, 2018. She was the wife of David G. Fatzinger. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary July 8. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Dolores (Nuss) Tarboro and Robert D. Knauss Sr.

She worked as a receptionist, secretary and administrative assistant. Later in life she was a caregiver for Home Instead Senior Care until her illness forced her to retire in 2015.

She was active in the Mountainville Lions Club and on the district level, receiving a Melvin Jones Fellow, Lions of Pennsylvania Foundation Pinnacle, the President’s Medal and a Leadership Medal.

She was a member of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, Emmaus.

She is survived by her husband; daughters, Traci and her husband Tyler Howe, of Hamburg, Patti and her husband Christopher McCluskey, of Punta Gorda, Fla.; brother, Robert D. Knauss Jr. and companion Phyllis Angstadt; grandchildren, Brandon Pauley, Kailee Pauley and Richard Favere.
