Dr. Eleanor P. Cummins, 82, of Emmaus, died Sept. 20, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township. Born in Newark, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Michael and Doris (Kaufman) Goldberg.

A woman of significant accomplishment with two masters degrees and a doctorate, she was a teacher, assistant principal and a consummate educator.

She traveled much of the world and was passionate about learning, animals, art and books. She was fiercely generous and gave a great deal of her time toward the causes about which she was most enthusiastic throughout her life.

She loved spending time outside, especially by the pool and in the woods near her home.

She is survived by a son, Jon and his wife Amy; daughter, Debrah and her husband Fred Stellato; brother, David Marshall and his wife Sandy; grandchildren, Alli and her husband Matt, Sophie, Charlie, Juli, Jay and Nick, and longtime companion, Don.
