William F. “Bill” Entzminger, 72, of Allentown, died Sept. 17, 2018.
He and his wife, Cecelia A. (Weber), celebrated their 52nd anniversary.
Renewing their vows eight times, they were like “forever newlyweds,” always together, walking hand in hand.
Born April 11, 1946, he was the son of the late William F. and Ruth I. (Mayer) Entzminger.
He served his country proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps.
For nearly 30 years, he was a loan officer at People First FCU as until his health decided it was time to retire.
He spent 16 years as a projectionist at numerous theaters, including the Boulevard Drive In, Super Skyway Drive In, Towne Theatre and the Movies at Trexler Mall.
He loved cruising the seas and driving just about anywhere his heart would take him.
He held on for three years and gave it all he had until his options were exhausted.
He felt lucky to have made it to his age and it tore him apart that children are suffering with cancer and fail at the chance to live their dreams.
Cancer took him from the family but he put up a tough fight. He never gave up.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Christopher and wife, Barbara; daughter Michele Cavacini and husband, David; grandchildren Ava and Lindsy Entzminger, and Nicholas and Anthony Cavacini, all of whom he was so proud and thrilled to be their PopPop.
Contributions may be made to Four Diamonds Penn State Health Children’s Hospital.
