John W. Binder, 79, of Jim Thorpe and formerly of Coplay, died Sept. 15, 2018, at home. He was the husband of Dianne D. (Frable) Binder for 19 years.

Born in Coplay, he was a son of the late Joseph Binder and Mary Binder Tomol.

He was the former owner of Binnie’s Dog House, Coplay. Before that, he was a manager for the former Johnson Motor Lines, Allentown, for over 20 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, John Jr. and his wife Carol of Trachsville and Mark and his wife Karen of Oklahoma; a daughter, Constance Lynn and her husband Brian of Germansville; a stepson, Jerry and his wife Lori Hudgins of Easton; a stepdaughter, Michelle Rausch and her companion Kevin Behler of Lehighton; three brothers, Joseph of Jim Thorpe, Alfred and his wife Lillian of Coplay and William and his wife Sherry of New Jersey; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Jennifer.
