Upper Macungie Township fire departments, Cetronia Ambulance Corps and Upper Macungie police recently sponsored the 2018 Junior Emergency Services Academy at Upper Macungie Station 56.
The academy, from July 23-27, was designed to introduce 12- to 16-year-olds to public service organizations.
During the week, the youth were involved in drills and classroom activities to help make them aware of the type of support needed to keep a community safe.
Instructors were members of the townships emergency response organizations.
