Jean L. Roth, 81, of Orefield, died Sept. 11, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

She and her husband Carl K. Roth were married 60 years.

Born May 12, 1937, in North Whitehall Township, she was the daughter of the late Elmer P. and Lillian E. (Ruch) Wehr.

A 1955 graduate of Parkland High School, she was a data entry clerk at Lehigh Valley Hospital, in the research department, for five years before retiring in 1993.

Before that, she was a food service worker in the Parkland High School cafeteria for five years.

She was a member of Jordan Evangelical Lutheran Church, Orefield, where she taught Sunday School for 20 years and was a member of the Hay Seed Players and Altar Guild.

She was a former Brownie Troop Leader and an avid bowler.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter Diane J. Harrington (Thomas) of New Tripoli; son Wayne C. Roth (Michele) of Slatedale; grandsons Nicholas and Tyler; siblings Donald E. Wehr (Miriam) of Orefield; Bruce W. Wehr (Jane) of Germansville, Barry L. Wehr (Donna) of New Tripoli, Nancy M. Horning of East Texas, Doris E. Horwath (Ray) of Coopersburg, Loretta A. Wehr of Coopersburg, Clairann L. Bond (Curt) of Michigan; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by brothers Richard T. and Elmer P.
