John J. Stashitsky, 87, of Alpharetta, Ga., and formerly of Whitehall, died Sept. 13, 2018. He was the husband of the late Helen (Bodish) Stashitsky for 58 years.
Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late John and Margaret (Hertzog) Stashitsky.
He was a graduate of Northampton High School.
He was a master carpenter and then owner at Acme Counter Top Company, Northampton. He retired from Brader’s Woodcraft, Laurys Station.
He was active at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Stiles.
He was a member of the Men of Malvern Society and held various officer positions. He was active in the Coplay Rotary Club, St. Francis Academy parents guild and the Whitehall Chapter of AARP.
He is survived by four daughters, Catherine and her husband Arthur Chadwick of Center Valley, Sandra and her husband John Weisgerber of Ardmore, Patrice and her husband Thomas Ott of Battle Creek, Mich., and Diana and her husband, Bruce Zorich of Alpharetta, Ga.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
On Sept. 20, there will be a visitation 8:30-10 a.m. at the funeral home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, followed by a Catholic Mass 10:30 a.m. at the church, 3024 Ruch St., Whitehall, 18052.
