Student inducted in honor society
Scranton
Kayla Johnson of Allentown was among several University of Scranton students recently inducted into Lambda Pi Eta, the national honor society for communication majors.
The honor society was founded in 1985 to encourage high levels of scholarship and leadership in the field of communications.
The university’s chapter was established in 1999. Johnson is a senior at the Jesuit university.
Muhlenberg
Quentin Bernhard of New Tripoli, a member of the Class of 2020, recently received the Dr. Victor L. Johnson Scholarship during Muhlenberg College’s annual honors convocation designed to honor and celebrate leadership and scholarly excellence and achievement.
The awards recognize select members of the faculty and student body for their contributions to the college, to their peers and to their disciplines.
This is awarded annually to a rising junior history major considered deserving by the history department, given in honor of the late Emeritus Professor of History Dr. Victor L. Johnson.
Fairleigh Dickinson
Michael Warg, of Laurys Station, a student at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Florham Campus, Madison, N.J. was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2017 semester.
To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must carry a 3.2 or better grade-point average out of a possible 4.0 and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 letter-graded hours (four courses).
Warg was also inducted into the Phi Zeta Kappa honor society for the spring 2017 semester.
DELVAL
Dr. Benjamin Rusiloski, Delaware Valley University’s vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty, has announced that Coplay resident Jarrett Kramer, a graduate of Parkland High School, has been honored for academic achievement by being named to the spring 2018 dean’s list.
Delaware Valley University is an independent, comprehensive university with more than 1,000 acres in Bucks and Montgomery counties.
