Joan D. Hillegass, 86, of Emmaus, died Sept. 6, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital Inpatient Hospice. She was the wife of the late Robert R. Hillegass Sr. Born in Weatherly, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Emily (Clewell) Highland.

She was a garment worker for Phoenix and Greiff Companies for 28 years.

She was a member of St. John’s U.C.C., Emmaus.

She is survived by children, Scott K. and his wife Ruth, Susan and her husband Ronald Masters, Robin and her husband David Fuller, Dolores and her husband John Norris and Penny and her husband Glenn Link; half sister, Linda Bradley; 19 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by children, Robert R. II, Bruce A. and Tracy Ann.
