Carolyn F. Daniels, 87, formerly of Fleetwood, died on Aug. 30, 2018, at the Masonic Village at Elizabethtown.

She was the wife of the late Frank E. Daniels.

Born in New Tripoli, she was a daughter of the late Vernon J. and Maggie C. (Fister) Snyder.

She attended Lynn Township public schools and was a 1948 graduate of Slatington High School and a 1949 graduate of Allentown Business College.

She was employed by radio station WSAN in Allentown and was also secretary to the dean of Kutztown University for 14 years, eventually retiring in 1973.

She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Fleetwood, and was also a member of the East Penn Chapter 336 Order of Eastern Star, Kutztown, and Valley of Reading AASR Ladies Auxiliary, PP. of De Molay Commandery No. 9 Ladies Auxiliaries, West Reading.

She was a member of the “Foxy” Ladies and enjoyed traveling to various Masonic events with her husband.

Her survivors include a nephew Gary Snyder of Three Springs; nieces Karen, wife of Mark Williams of Pricetown, Alice Shomgard of Blandon, Ellen, wife of John Seidt, of Sinking Springs, and Susan, wife of Dwight Bige, of Blandon.

She was predeceased by her brother Donald Snyder; nephews Donald Jr. and Jerry Snyder; and a niece Linda Snyder.

Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Sept. 18 in St. Paul’s UCC, 5 W. Arch St., Fleetwood, PA 19522, with a calling hour to begin 10 a.m.

Interment will follow the service at Jacob’s Cemetery, New Tripoli.

The Rev. John Folk will officiate.
