June M. Stas, 91, of McLean, Va., formerly from Macungie, died Aug. 30, 2018.

She was the beloved wife of the late John D. Stas, who died in 2008. Born in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Mary (Falat) Klimek.

She was a member of The Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Allentown.

Starting in 2015, her family honored her by establishing two prizes in her name at the Great Allentown Fair: The June M. Stas Supreme Baking Award and the June M. Stas Superior Preserved Product Award. The awards will continue in her memory.

Her love and exceptional kindness will be sorely missed by family, friends and all who knew her.

She is survived by a son, Eric A. and his wife, Michelle; grandsons, Alex and Parker; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was predeceased by a brother, Richard; sister, Janet Wendling.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Sept. 8 at the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. Calling hours will be held 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 7 and 10 to 10:30 a.m. Sept. 8 in the funeral home.
