Janet D. James, 78, of Coplay, died Aug. 30, 2018, at her home. She was the wife of George F. James for 58 years.

Born in Catasauqua, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Dorothy C. (Stewart) Finley.

She was a graduate of Catasauqua High School, Class of 1958, where she served as class treasurer.

She worked for the Catasauqua Area School District in the administrative office for many years.

She was a very active member of the Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua.

She is survived by two sons, David and his wife Angel and Chris and his wife Cindy; a sister, Carol and her husband Kenneth Holmes Jr.; six grandchildren, Maxwell, Michaela, Abigail, Tara, Drew and Colby; and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two stepbrothers.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the church, 210 Pine St., Catasauqua, 18032.
