Joanne L. Horwith, 78, of Schnecksville, died Aug. 28, 2018, in Phoebe Home, Allentown.

Born May 10, 1940, in Germansville, she was the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Louise M. (Correll) Horwith.

She was employed part-time at Wegmans, Allentown, since 1998.

Before that, she worked at The Lehigh Group, Macungie, from 1997-2005 and as a sewing machine operator at the former Cross Country Clothes, Egypt, from 1958 to 1995.

She was a member of the United Church of Christ congregation of Heidelberg Union Church, Heidelberg Township.

She was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of Community Fire Co. No. 1, Schnecksville, and a past Noble Grand of Lady Lillie Best Rebekah Lodge 222, Schnecksville.

Her survivors include a sister Doris R. Loch (Barry) of Schnecksville; nephews Michael J. Loch (Linda) of Tamaqua, Matthew J. Loch of Slatington; and great-niece Claryssa A. Loch of Slatington.

She was predeceased by a nephew, Jason E. Loch, who died in 1972.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Aug. 31 in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with Pastor Karen A. Yonney officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects from 1-2 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service at Heidelberg Union Cemetery, Heidelberg Township.
