The Pennsylvania State Police in Bethlehem have announced the Labor Day 2018 Holiday weekend traffic enforcement program.

There will be extra patrols and several drunken-driving checkpoints beginning at 12:01 a.m. Aug. 31 through midnight Sept. 3. in Lehigh and Northampton counties.

The Pennsylvania turnpike maintenance and construction projects will be halted from 5 a.m. Aug.31 through 11 p.m. Sept. 4.

In New Jersey, the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign runs through Labor Day.
