Robert E. Lehr Sr. 85, formerly of Alburtis and Coopersburg, died Aug. 19, 2018, at DevonHouse, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Althea M. (Urmy) Lehr. They were married for 66 years. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Elmer R. and Lucretia P. (Appleton) Lehr.
He served our country faithfully in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He owned and operated Robert E. Lehr Builders, Coopersburg, for many years until retiring.
He was a member of Church of the Good Shepherd, Alburtis and the American Legion Post 217, Topton.
He is survived by his wife; children, Debra L. and her husband Lee R. Phillips, of Allentown, Robert E. Jr. and his wife Donna M., of Zionsville; sisters, Emily A. Danner, of East Texas, Marjorie Hey, of Bethlehem, Betty Mai, of Lower Macungie Township, Lucretia (Cookie) and her husband Bud Kristofik, of Bethlehem, Carroll Miller, of Glen Carbon, Ill.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by siblings, Ralph S., Raymond, Ronnie, Roger, Jean Donmoyer and Etta Miller.

Family and friends are invited to call 10 to 11 a.m. Aug. 23, at The Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Quarry Road & Penn Ave., Alburtis, followed by the funeral service 11 a.m. Arrangements were made by the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., Hellertown.
