Carol Anne (Szilezy) Ernst
Carol Anne (Szilezy) Ernst, 70, of Cementon, died peacefully Aug. 14, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospice, surrounded by family. She was the wife of Walter R. Ernst for 54 years. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Joyce (Peters) Szilezy Sr.
She was employed by George’s Greenhouse, Emmaus for over 30 years, then became owner-operator of Flowers by George’s for four years. She was a member and secretary of the Lehigh Valley Floral Association for many years.
She was an amazing woman and an even better mother and Oma; she will be sadly missed but never forgotten! Her home was open to anyone in need. She provided love and support to countless family and friends. She passed on her love of music to her family.
She is survived by her husband; daughters, Tricia Beidler (Kyle), of Murrysville and Katrina (David), of Slatington; sons, Brian (Julie), of Bally, Christopher “Kip” (Christine), of Coplay, Matthew, of Coplay, Joseph (Rhonda), of Cementon and Zachary (Laura), of Macungie; grandchildren Kasey, Olivia, William, James and Nicholas and Blake Beidler; sisters, Marie Lanze (Ronald), of Allentown, Rose Mary Wechsler, of Whitehall, Francine Cernobyl (Irving), of Reading, Cecelia Wotring, of Allentown; brothers Joseph (Karen), of Whitehall, Louis Jr. “Benny” (Susan), of Wayne, N.J., Frank (Patti), of Coplay, David (Cheryl), of Apex, N.C.; nieces, nephews and extended family; puppy Maggie Mae. She was predeceased by daughters Tina Marie and Angela Louise, brothers-in-law Francis Wechsler, Thomas Cernobyl and John Wotring.
